Easy Shepherds Pie with Ground Beef

This recipe for Easy Shepherds Pie with Ground Beef is a hearty and satisfying meal thats great for a cozy family dinner. It has layers of tasty ground beef and vegetables, mashed potatoes on top, and it is baked until it turns golden brown.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C

Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat

Put in the garlic and onions, and cook them until they get soft

Put in the ground beef and cook it until it turns brown

Add corn, peas, and carrots and mix well

Bring it to a boil again

Put in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, along with the beef broth

Keep cooking until the mixture gets thick

Fill a baking dish with the beef mixture

On top of the beef mixture, spread out the mashed potatoes evenly

Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown
