Crock Pot Chicken Baked Tacos
These Chicken Baked Tacos in the Crock Pot are a tasty and easy way to eat chicken tacos. As the chicken cooks slowly, it gets very tender and tastes great with salsa and taco seasoning. Putting them in the oven with cheese on top makes them extra crispy. Add your favorite taco toppings to make a great meal for the whole family.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 12 taco shells
Instructions:
Put the chicken breasts in the slow cooker
Cover all of the chicken with the taco seasoning mix
Place the chicken in a bowl
Turn the heat down to low, cover, and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or until the chicken is soft and can be shred with a fork
Take two forks and shred the chicken
Then, mix it with the sauce in the crock pot
Start by heating the oven to 400F 200C
Spoon the chicken mixture into each taco shell after putting the shells in a baking dish
Put some cheddar cheese shreds on top of every taco
Toss the tacos in the sauce and bake them in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles
Add sour cream, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and chopped cilantro after taking it out of the oven
