Filet with Gorgonzola Sauce Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 2 filet mignon steaks, 6 oz each
- 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
On both sides, season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper
One tablespoon of olive oil should be heated over medium-high heat in a big skillet
Sear the filet mignon steaks for 34 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook them for a longer amount of time depending on your preferred doneness
Add the steaks to the hot skillet
After taking the steaks out of the skillet, give them some time to rest
Transfer the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the same skillet
To the skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and diced red onion
Saut the vegetables for 34 minutes, or until they are soft and the onions are transparent
Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring, for 30 more seconds, or until fragrant
Add the heavy cream and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese to the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low
Until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, stir constantly
After the filet mignon steaks have rested, slice them thinly and add them back to the skillet with the Gorgonzola sauce
Allow the steaks to absorb the creamy sauce and get heated through by cooking for a further two to three minutes
Present the Filet with a Stirred Gorgonzola Sauce
Garnish with fresh parsley and fry until hot
Have fun
