DIY Vegan Instant Oatmeal
Make your own flavored vegan instant oatmeal packets for a quick and nutritious breakfast option. Customize the ingredients to suit your taste preferences and dietary needs. These homemade oatmeal packets are easy to prepare and perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup dried fruit such as raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds such as almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or maple sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, dried fruit, chopped nuts or seeds, ground flaxseed, coconut or maple sugar, cinnamon, and salt
Divide the mixture into individual servings by placing about 1/2 cup of the oatmeal mixture into small resealable bags or containers
Seal the bags or containers and store in a cool, dry place until ready to use
To prepare oatmeal, empty one packet of the oatmeal mixture into a bowl
Add 3/4 cup of boiling water or plant-based milk to the oatmeal mixture and stir well
Let the oatmeal sit for 2-3 minutes to thicken, then enjoy
