Korean Barbecue Tofu Burgers
A delicious vegan twist on a classic burger, featuring grilled tofu marinated in Korean barbecue sauce, topped with crunchy cabbage, green onions, and sesame seeds, served on a toasted bun.
Ingredients:
- 1 block extra-firm tofu, pressed and sliced into 4 slabs
- 1/2 cup Korean barbecue sauce
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat
Brush tofu slabs with Korean barbecue sauce on both sides
Grill tofu for 5-7 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and tofu is heated through
Toast burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes
Spread vegan mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun
Top with grilled tofu, shredded cabbage, green onions, and sesame seeds
Place the top half of the bun on top and serve
