Quinoa Sourdough Bread - Purposeful Nutrition
Ingredients:
- 2 cups quinoa flour
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions:
Sourdough starter, lukewarm water, and quinoa flour should all be mixed together in a large bowl
After you mix it well, wait 15 minutes
Add honey, salt, and olive oil to the mix
For about 10 minutes, knead the dough until it gets smooth and springy
To make the dough double in size, put it in a bowl that has been greased and cover it with a damp cloth
Let it rise for 4 to 6 hours
Turn on the oven and heat it up to 400F 200C
After the dough has risen, punch it down and form it into a round loaf
Use some flour or parchment paper to line a baking pan and put it in there
Put a cloth over the dough and let it rise for another 30 minutes
Warm the oven up to 450F 230C at the same time
Cut a pattern into the top of the dough with a sharp knife if you want to
Wait 25 to 30 minutes and check to see if the bread is golden brown
If it is, it means the bread is done
Let the bread cool down before cutting it
