Gluten-free soda bread is easy to make and doesnt need yeast. Its great for people who are sensitive to gluten. There arent many steps, and its ready in no time. Feel free to top it with your favorite jams and spreads.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups dairy-free buttermilk 1 1/4 cups almond milk mixed with 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for a vegan option

Warm your oven up to 375F 190C and grease a baking sheet or cast iron skillet just a little

Whisk the gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl

Add the dairy-free buttermilk, olive oil, and honey to a different bowl

Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until a sticky dough forms

Place the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf by hand

Make a deep X on top of the dough with a sharp knife

Then, put the loaf on the baking sheet or skillet that has been prepared

If you tap the bottom of the bread, it should sound hollow when you do so

Bake in a hot oven for 35 to 40 minutes

Take it out of the oven and set it on a wire rack to cool

Then cut it into pieces and serve

Put your favorite things on top of your gluten-free soda bread and enjoy
